Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM ORDERS FOR HAND DECORATED COOKIES?
Yes. We love custom orders!  Everything from helping you plan your theme, to picking the right colors, we will make sure your cookies are exactly what your picture for your event.

 

 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER?

A minimum of two weeks notice is needed.  The further out you can book the better to ensure your space on the calendar.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T HAVE TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY DATE?

If we have availability on our schedule, and can accommodate the size/type of order you need, there will be a $15 rush fee.  Please text me at 804-677-5575 in order to get the fastest response.  We will still need a minimum of 72 hours, no matter what, due to baking and drying times.


WHEN DO I PAY?
Once we have worked out the specifications of your order, a non-refundable deposit of 50% will be due.  This will hold your place on the schedule.  You final payment is due one week before your cookie pick up.  If you do not pay your invoice within 24 hours, your order will be cancelled and taken off the schedule. 

 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?

I currently invoice only through Square.  On a case by case basis I can take Venmo or Paypal.


DO YOU DELIVER?

My main method to get cookies in my customers hands is by porch pick up at my home in Mechanicsville, VA.  In some situations I may be able to arrange delivery for an additional fee.

DO YOU HAVE A STOREFRONT?

Unfortunately not at this time.  I am a cottage food bakery and follow Virginia cottage food laws from my home.


DO YOU SHIP?
Yes!  You will just gave to pay the additional charge for shipping.  At this time I can only ship within the state of Virginia.


DO YOU OFFER LARGE QUANTITY DISCOUNTS?
I'm sorry but no, there are no discounts.  Each order is lovingly hand made and detailed, so it doesn't matter if it is one cookie or 200, they still take a significant amount of time to produce.


ARE YOU PEANUT FREE?
While there are no nuts in our sugar cookies, there are nut products in my kitchen so we cannot guarantee anything as "nut free".


DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN FREE?
I am currently working on recipes for roll-out gluten free cookies.  I will let you know once they are available and other specialty dietary recipes are available too.   


HOW SHOULD I STORE MY COOKIES?
My delicious sugar cookies will remain fresh for up to 14 days when stored in an airtight container.  You should keep them away from direct sunlight or any heat source.  You may also freeze them using our instructions here.  Please don't refrigerate any cookies with royal icing on them.  


DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
All cookie orders are nonrefundable. In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your order, you may transfer your payment to a future order if at least 14 days-notice is given prior to your originally scheduled pick up date.


Credits for rescheduled orders must be used within 6 months of original pick-up date. The rescheduled orders are subject to our calendar and availability. No credit transfers will be given for cookies that have already been made or materials purchased; this includes holiday/special occasion cookies.


No credit transfers will be given for cancelled orders less than 14 days prior to pick up date.


In the extremely rare event your order is not picked up within 48 hours of the scheduled pick up time, despite a at least 4 attempts to contact purchaser without success, this cookie order will be donated to a local non-profit or charity of our choosing.
